Well a gorilla can grapple and wrestle unlike the bear. Gorillas can grip and wrestle, while bears just haul with no strategy. This assumes of course that neither of them realize that the fight would likely end in severe injury for them BOTH and they both back away.which is the more likely Yeah They have different strengths and thats why i think its a great match. If they were both healthy adults of their normal sizes (6' gorilla vs 8' bear) I'd say like 7/10 for the bear given MUCH greater reach on the side of the bear. At the exact same size (either 6' to 6' or 8' to 8') I'd think the gorilla would probably take this about 6/10 mmaaayyybe 7/10 due to it's speed and being able to get inside the bear's swipe and gripping the arms and disabling it then attacking the jaws (which they're known to do). What his comes down to (again I'm having to swag), is who strikes first. While the bear is able to move extremely fast, the gorilla definitely has the speed advantage.

While the potential for a good fight is there, this all falls down to processing by the two animals and the bear has the upper hand in possibly perceiving the guerrilla as some type of prey item or some type of threat to a young or something, similar to how it would perceive a human and a guerrilla certainly isn't going to perceive the matter from a human perspective, except maybe a fear and panic response.
It's more of an issue that these animals wouldn't think of combat like humans it' more fight or flight out of fear of being hunted or killed but, in this vein, the bear is very likely to look into attacking the silver back and that's where it gets tricky as to how the silver back might respond if it took a fight whether than flight mode, things could get interesting, but that bear is looking to maul actually, I believe I remember where a silver back got severely injured by a leopard or something and a bear is likely to take a similar approach.
